Rebeka Hutmaker (formerly Bardou) was born in Québec City. A natural performer early on in life, Rebeka fell in love with dance. At the age of 12, she moved to Montréal to pursue classical training at L’Ecole des Grands Ballets Canadiens. As a teenager, she was offered roles with two major professional companies. Rebeka’s deep passion for interpreting characters was quickly noticed by producers, which led to her being cast in theater and television productions.
Rebeka’s artistic path took a turn while on vacation in London where she was scouted by Elite Premier Model Management. Soon after, Rebeka was traveling the world working as a high fashion editorial beauty + commercial model. Appearing on the most coveted runways, she catwalked the prét-a-porter and haute couture collections for leading designers Armani, Bulgari, Chanel, Dior, Marc Jacobs, Sonia Rykiel, and Yves St-Laurent among others. She was featured in the pages of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Marie-Claire, Cosmopolitan, The Face, I.D, Jealouse, and Dazed & Confused alongside advertising campaigns for Hermès, Vivienne Westwood, Isabel Marant, Fred Perry, and Max & Co…

Her transition to acting was seamless and she began taking classes with coach Jack Waltzer in London. Her first supporting role was in a feature film that starred actress Faye Dunaway and was shot on location in Paris. During a meeting in Montreal, director/mentor Jacqueline McClintock encouraged Rebeka to enroll in a two-year program at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre in New York City.
Rebeka has starred in several Off-Broadway Productions, TV shows, and commercials. She had lead roles in the theater productions of The Spanish Queen directed by Harold Baldridge, Dolores, a two-women play by Edward Allan Baker, and REAL directed by Gabriel G. Torres.
